Charter Communications NasdaqCHTR is a company providing cable television, HDTV, cable telephone, and broadband services to many cities in the United States. The company is particularly known for its abysmal level of customer service, among the worst in the cable industry, and for employing criminals; several Charter executive received felony convictions in 2003 for defrauding their own customers and investors. Charter Communications, is also known to be the highest priced provider in many markets compared to similar cities in non-Charter markets.
