Adventure Island was a popular Australian television series for children which screened on the ABC from 1967 to 1973. The show was a pantomime-style series set in the kingdom of Diddley Dum Diddley. Characters included Lisa, Clown, Flower Potts, Wanda Wise, Percy Panda, Penny Panda, Fester Fumbles and Miser Meanie. It was hosted by Nancy Cato (1967-1969) and later Sue Donovan (1969-1973).
The show was created by John-Michael Howson and Godfrey Phillip. Howson also starred in the show as Clown.
Nancy Cato and John-Michael Howson had also been involved in a similar program called The Music Circle Club which screened on ATV0 from 1965 to 1967.
