| Welcome to my little corner of this vast space that is Misplaced Pages! I'm just a regular guy, living in ], don't have much to say about myself. My user page is currently under renovations. I guess I would classify myself as a ], albeit a very ] one. :) Although I'm kind of leery about ], I have lots of faith in Misplaced Pages and its policy of "anyone can edit" and have great hope for the future of Misplaced Pages. It may be that one anonymous IP making one minor contribution such as fixing a typo is analagous to contributing to the content of the ocean by spitting in it, but when that one contributor is combined with thousands others doing the same thing... when you look it at as a whole picture, then it makes a big difference in the grand scheme of things. So each little contribution from anonymous IP's are useful and worth it and much appreciated by the Misplaced Pages community.<br /> | ||

If anyone wants to volunteer to help me improve this page or make a helpful suggestion they are most welcome to; leave me a message on my talk page. As for my editing style, I make mostly minor clean-up edits to any articles on any subject. I try to find a way to improve any article I come across and generally do a little bit of everything, from patrolling new pages to fighting vandalism, believing it'll improve the whole. I guess I would classify myself as a WikiGnome, albeit a very obsessive-compulsive one. :) Although I'm kind of leery about Misplaced Pages:Flagged Revisions, I have lots of faith in Misplaced Pages and its policy of "anyone can edit" and have great hope for the future of Misplaced Pages. Since anyone can edit almost any Misplaced Pages article, it is possible for biased, out of date, or incorrect information to be added to Misplaced Pages. To improve Misplaced Pages's reliability, fix these problems by doing the following:
- As often as you can, monitor and check changes made to articles. Your Watchlist, and the Related changes and Recent changes features are useful for this.
- Clean up vandalism and report vandals to Administrator intervention against vandalism (WP:AIV). Many vandalism clean-up tools are available to assist you.
- Fix mistakes:
- Fix typos, and grammatical and spelling errors. Join the Typo Team and learn their methods.
- Fix factual errors. You could also join the Fact and Reference Check Project.
- Fix bias. See Misplaced Pages:Systemic bias.
- For dubious statements that are not sourced or are likely to be challenged, hunt for references that are reliable, relevant, accurate, objective, and timely. Add citations for these to the article.
- Read the references provided by articles and check them for reliability, relevance, accuracy, objectivity, and timeliness. That is, read the source material cited, and remove irrelevant or unreliable citations.
