Jon Knox is an American session musician drummer, producer and composer. He was the drummer of Christian rock band White Heart from 1991 to 1996. He's also the drummer of the band Adam Again which disbanded after lead singer Gene Eugene died on March 20 2000.

Raised in the land of sunshine, Californian Jon Knox started drumming at the age of four. Jon's talent impressed his father enough for him to go out and buy Jon his first drum kit.

His earliest influences came from listening to the sounds of early Motown, Gospel and Jazz with Mom and Dad. Soon after, he began sneaking into his siblings record collection and began being influenced by some of the masters of Funk and Rock & Roll including Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Earth, Wind and Fire and The Commodores.

Jon found that these multifarious musical influences had a giant impact on his drumming skills and musical tastes and he began infusing these ideas into his drumming.

He further developed his musical talents by teaching himself to play guitar, bass and write songs. He has been active producing, programming and recording his own material which has received notable mention.

During his career Jon has worked with many widely acclaimed artists and members of such groups including No Doubt, Adam Again, Rage Against the Machine, White Heart, Blind Melon, Audio Adrenaline, DC Talk, Foo Fighters, Crystal Lewis, Steve Cropper and many others.

Jon's drumming is compelling, creative and he has received distinction as being an inspiration to players of all musical styles. His musical talents have been nominated for Grammy and Dove Awards and he has toured and appeared on numerous television and radio broadcasts that have spanned the globe.

Currently, you can find him involved in remixing, making beats, scoring and producing projects, which include an electronica/dance/hip, hop type project called Dos Negros. Also, he continues to compose and produce music for several music library companies. His compositions are in these genres of music: Rock, Alternative Rock, Metal, Pop, Indie, Hip Hop, R&B, Electronica, and Guitar-based music.

Credits include: Sirius & XM Radio, Viacom, HBO, Shaw Communications, Play Ltd. and Discovery.

Jon endorses Vic Firth Sticks, Phatfoot, Ableton Live and Pearl Drums.
