In the UK a trustee is an unpaid volunteer who undertakes fiducary responsibilites on behalf of a charity, subject to the provisions of the Charities Act 1993 and regulated by the Charities Commission.
The word trustee is also a legal term that refers to a member of a trust, a body entrusted with the administration of property on behalf of another.
