Karthik Raja (Template:Lang-ta) is one of the youngest film music composers from the Chennai film industry in Tamil Nadu, South India. He is the eldest son of the famous composer Ilayaraaja. He made his debut as music composer in the Tamil movie, Alexander. He has worked with renowned Indian filmakers and producers including Amitabh Bachchan, Mani Ratnam, Jackie Shroff, Ajay Devgan amongst others.

He graduated from the Prestigious St. Bede's School in Chennai


Awards Include

Film-fare award for the "Best new Talent" in 1998 and R.D.Burman award for the Film "Grahan" in Hindi. Best New Music for the movie "Alexander" in Tamil Starring Vijayakanth Best Music award for the Movie "Dum Dum Dum" directed by Mr.Azhagham Perumal , disciple of the renowned director Mani Ratnam.
