"PowerBook" is Apple Computer's brand name for its series of Macintosh laptop computers.
The first model was the PowerBook 100, (October 1991 - August 1992) which had a clock speed of 16MHz.
In 1992 Apple released a hybrid portable/desktop computer, the "PowerBook Duo": a laptop which could be anchored to a docking station which could provide the system with extra memory or storage space and be connected to a monitor.
