Places in Oakdale

  • Pepper Pete's is the name of the local Oakdale pizza parlor. Joe Talbot and friends often eat and converse there.
  • The office for Oakdale's local newspaper, The Oakdale Chronicle, is located in downtown Oakdale. It is owned by Joe's neighbor, Wanda Gilmore, who inherited the business from her father who won it in a poker game. As seen in the episode "Digging up the Past", the paper has run since at least 1930.
  • Oakdale Sports & Games

  • Sequoyah Elementary/Middle School
  • Oakdale Park
  • Holbrock Plant - industrial plant opened in 1929/1930, which was "a big day" for the town, and closed in 1995 due to UPA violations ("Digging up the Past")
