It is not at all clear that Thanou will be awarded Marion Jones' gold medal. The IOC can refuse to issue a gold medal. This is a real possibility given Thanou's doping conviction. Please see link below.

I have reverted the medal "upgrades" made by an anon-IP editor. Until she is awarded any such medals by the relevant authorities the page should reflect what she won originally. John Smith's18:03, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
