The ], a ] known for the banks it licensed, being directly linked to large scale banking fraud in many parts of the world, claims to have a lease granting them use of the Solkope Island for 99 years. The lease was obtained from Hiagi Apao, who claims to be the sole sovereign owner of the island. Although at times there have been movements advocating secession away from Fiji, the island, via semi-autonomous Rotuma, is still recognized as a dependency of Fiji. | |||
