Dr. Douglas Powell, (b. December 29, 1962, Toronto) is scientific director of the International Food Safety Network (iFSN) at Kansas State University. He oversees a research team of 20 undergraduates, graduate students and research assistants, and edits the daily Food Safety Network listservs.
Dr. Powell's daily newsletter listservs, FSnet, Agnet, Animalnet and Functionalfoodnet, generated through his lab, have over 12,000 subscribers in 70 countries.
He has published 23 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, 6 peer-reviewed book chapters and the 1997 book, Mad Cows and Mother’s Milk.
