The supporters' club, "Ultras Yellow Boys" was founded in 1996, returning afterwards in 2001. Two previous groups, however extinct, existed: "Febre Amarela" and "Yellowmania". Thanks to them, home games can be an Hell to away teams and referees. In a small stadium like Mata Real, players and fans are really close, and usually YB aren't nice with players of other teams. Many players complained about the way they were insulted by YB. Djaló and Hernâni were the most mediatic cases.

Paços de Ferreira
Full name
Futebol Clube Paços de Ferreira
Nickname(s)
Os castores (Beavers) Os pacenses (Those from Paços)
The origin of the club dates back to the 1930s when it was named Sport Club Pacense. It played two decades without any official recognition until they began playing in the lower divisions in the 1950s, under the name Futebol clube Vasco da Gama which eventually was given to the Brazilian side Clube de Regatas Vasco da Gama. The club then changed the kit colours to the current ones and renamed themselves F.C. Paços de Ferreira.Their beginnings with the current denomination came on November 19, 1950, beating AD Lousada 2-1. Agostinho Alves was the first goal scorer in the history of the pacenses. The club then played in Portugal's third regional division until the 1956-57 season, where they were crowned champions. The club crest was created in 1961-62, and was used ever since. The club was relegated and then promoted again and supporters hit the streets of the city on June 17, 1973 when they defeated Perosinho 3-0. One year later they conquered the third division championship, on June 141974, when they defeated Estrela de Portalegre. The hero of the game was goalscorer Mascarenhas. After establishing in the first division during the 1990s, and suffering a relegation in 2004, the club finished sixth in 2006-07, thus qualifying for the UEFA Cup, its first ever European competition, led by coach José Mota after impressive wins against Sporting Clube de Portugal, with a goal scored by a player using his hand, and ties with S.L. Benfica and FC Porto. They were ousted after a good fight, losing 0-1 on aggregate to AZ Alkmaar. Having finished penultimate in 2007-08, the club would have normally been relegated to the second level, but was readmitted after Boavista FC's confirmed irregularities.
