Dingli Swallows were promoted this year as champions from the ] to the ] for the first time in their history. In the Championship decider match they beat ] 2-1 at the Corradino Stadium on the 19th May 2009. This is to be considered as a big success for a club hailing from such a small village and will certainly be recorded in capital letters in the club's history books. One must not forget to mention the man behind all this success. Coach Jesmond Zammit, backed by the club's managing committee, worked a lot for this glorious day and finally he reached the target. |
