Andrew John Hurley was born on May 31, 1980 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is the drummer of the Chicago based band Fall Out Boy.
Previously, Hurley played drums in the Chicago metalcore band Racetraitor, and in 1999 played drums on Vegan Reich's final LP. He also played drums in various bands that included Pete Wentz. As a child Hurley considered himself a trouble maker who drank and ignored authority. He is now a vegan, and leads a straight edge lifestyle (or a lifestyle of abstinence in relation to tobacco, alcohol and recreational drug use). Hurley is a comicbook enthusiast, plays video games such as The Legend of Zelda, and is the second oldest member of the band. Hurley plays C&C Custom drums and Sabian cymbals.
