Lousoi (Λουσοί) or Lousai (Λουσαί) was an ancient city in Arcadian Azania that is now in the Achaia prefecture.
Lousoi was located between the ancient cities of Kleitor and Kynaitha at an elevation of 1,140 m. From Lousoi was Agesilas (Αγησίλας), winner in the sporting road at the Pydiada (Πυδιάδα) in 542 BC. During the council war 220-217 BC, the Aetolians arrived at the temple of Artemis that was respected from all the Greeks as sacred shelter.
Lousoi was a part of the Achaean League and at the time when ] arrived, it was ruined
The location of the ancient city has been found and excavations are continued to the present, it is 15 km from Kalavryta near in the village of Kato Lousoi (formerly Soudena). The temple of Artemis has been excavated, as well as some of the surrounding buildings.. The first excavations began in 1898 by the Athens branch of the Austrian Archaeological Institute </ref>.
