Create your own section to provide evidence in, and do not edit anyone else's section. Keep your evidence to a maximum of 1000 words and 100 diffs. Evidence longer than this will be refactored or removed entirely.

Anyone, whether directly involved or not, may add evidence to this page. Create your own section and do not edit in anybody else's section. Please limit your main evidence to a maximum 1000 words and 100 diffs and keep responses to other evidence as short as possible. A short, concise presentation will be more effective; posting evidence longer than 1000 words will not help you make your point. Over-long evidence that is not exceptionally easy to understand (like tables) will be trimmed to size or, in extreme cases, simply removed by the Clerks without warning - this could result in your important points being lost, so don't let it happen. Stay focused on the issues raised in the initial statements and on diffs which illustrate relevant behavior.

It is extremely important that you use the prescribed format. Submitted evidence should include a link to the actual page diff in question, or to a short page section; links to the page itself are insufficient. Never link to a page history, an editor's contributions, or a log for all actions of an editor (as those will have changed by the time people click on your links), although a link to a log for a specific article or a specific block log can be useful. Please make sure any page section links are permanent. See simple diff and link guide.

This page is not for general discussion - for that, see the talk page. If you think another editor's evidence is a misrepresentation of the facts, cite the evidence and explain how it is incorrect within your own section. Please do not try to re-factor the page or remove evidence presented by others. If something is put in the wrong place, leave it for the Arbitrators or Clerks to move.

Arbitrators may analyze evidence and other assertions at /Workshop. /Workshop provides for comment by parties and others as well as Arbitrators. After arriving at proposed principles, findings of fact or remedies, Arbitrators vote at /Proposed decision. Only Arbitrators (and clerks, when clarification on votes is needed) may edit the proposed decision page.

A couple of case studies of Ottava's approach to content disputes will set out in detail elsewhere. For my part, I wish to focus on Ottava's wikipoliticking. The most important pattern to note is the holding of grudges, and the disruption and trauma this entails.

There is no easy way to say this. I'm no fan of Ottava Rima, but I am wondering if he might not be under extreme psychological stress, and I feel for him. If my assessment is correct, then the last thing he needs right now is an enervating long drawn out ArbCom process. Please see my last post here as well as Ottava Rima's first post. I now feel that by continuing with the proceedings, ArbCom could risk causing damage to the health of one individual. That is a risk not worth taking. I am entirely sincere in this request. Ottava Rima does not recognize his own incivility

When the Lord Byron discussion was taken to WP:WQA, I attempted to engage Ottava there, indicating that he might be personalizing the debate too much. When he complained I was defending inappropriate remarks, I listed 16 comments of his, including "You've heard of a library before, right?", "You have no legitimate argument and you pushed absurdities", and "Do you even do anything around here worth while". His response was that "Those comments are not incivil and it would take a complete rewrite of WP:CIVIL and a complete bastardization of common English to make a claim to the contrary." At that point, I blocked him for a week, since I believed that he was unable to work within Misplaced Pages civility norms at that point, and cited that diff. Ottava's initial unblock request was declined by Chillum, but a second one caused Deacon of Pndapetzim to reduce it to time served with a note that "Abrasiveness was mild".

I will first be putting for some statements about my own actions that only deal with general allegations and do not involve other parties. Any that do involve other parties will be checked through by some others first before I post them to ensure that they are neutral and clear.

My willingness to forgive

I have, on many occasions, gone out of my way to support those who have hurt me in some way or have caused me problems.

• At Mattisse's 3rd RfC, I called upon everyone to ensure that we remember that Mattisse is a human, as we all are. I also made public statements in Mattisse's defense at her ArbCom case.
• After having a dispute with Rjanag that was very bitter, I was still his first RfA supporter merely because he proved that he needed to tools to help the community. You can see it mentioned in the RfA.
• After bitter edit warring and multi page disputes with Haiduc (as I have explained elsewhere), including claims by him that I was homophobic and other attacks, I worked with him to get Nicolo Giraud through FAC and I added him to the nomination because I believed that he deserved credit for getting the page to its final result.
• I was one of the few to try and keep Peter Damian from being banned from Misplaced Pages even though he spent a lot of effort attacking my work on Misplaced Pages and making disparaging comments.

My willingness to work with others

I have worked with dozens of editors on expanding pages, fixing pages, editing pages, reviewing their FACs, reviewing their GANs, and other matters. Here are just the documented through process collaborations to show that I have constantly sought out others to work with on pages, even if I do not agree with them:

• I have worked with many people on DYKs: : Jake Wartenberg, NocturneNoir, PeterSymonds, Res2216firestar, Julian Colton, Ironholds, Malleus Fatuorum, Shoemaker's Holiday, Mrathel, Ceoil, Durova, Anonymous Dissident, Lithoderm, Awadewit, John Vandenberg, and others. Over 85 shared DYK credits in which I worked with many users in a coordinated collaborative effort.
• I have worked with many people on GAs but they are not documented in an easy list so I cannot access them, but most carry over from the above.
• I have worked with many people on FAs: Ironholds, Anonymous Dissident, Haiduc, Ceoil and Kafka Liz, Malleus Fatuorum and SandyGeorgia and again, and with Mrathel three times: with Kathyrncelestewright also, , and current , and one other current nominee with NocturneNoir. Out of 9 FAs I currently hold with one close, only one was not a collaborative effort. Many of these involved copyeditors or those who committed heavily copy edits in a manner that I do not always agree with, or pushed for weight in areas that I did not agree with, but settled over as part of a compromise.
