Montgomery can refer to a number of places, people or things.

Places

The original Montgomery was a place in France and, by extension, the surname of the Norman family who originated there. A member of this family, Roger of Montgomery, 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, founded the town and castle of Montgomery in Wales, later the county town of Montgomeryshire.

In the United States

Montgomery is, according to placesnamed.com, the name of 86 places in the United States of America of which 18 are Montgomery County. Some of the places named Montgomery in the United States were named in honor of the general Richard Montgomery, who died in the American Revolutionary War attempting to capture Quebec, Canada.
