Negin (Template:Lang-fa) is a Persian female given name in farsi . It means an extremely rare diamond or a stone,and also refers to the gemstone on a piece of jewelry, such as a ring or necklace. The direct translation of the word Negin is Ruby or other jewls with a luxurious look and high value.

Negin was also an influential literary journal in Tehran. It was published under the editorship of Dr. Mahmood Enayat during the Mohammad Reza Pahlavi rules..
