Anthony "Sonny" Ciccone (b. July 19, 1934) is a New York mobster and a captain of the Gambino crime family.
In 2002, Ciccone and Gambino crime family boss Peter Gotti were indicted on charges of exerting illegal control over the New York City waterfront, extorting money the water terminal businesses and other charges including loan-sharking, illegal gambling and union corruption. The indictment alleged that the Genovese and Gambino families still controlled the city waterfronts.
Ciccone was also accused of trying to extort martial-arts movie star Steven Seagal, that would have to pay $3 million to resolve a dispute with his producer, Julius R. Nasso.
In March 2003, Ciccone was convicted of charges of extortion, and is currently serving time at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Fort Dix, New Jersey. He is scheduled to be released at April 24, 2013.
