;Episode One
The story opens with the interrogation of Nathan Drake. His captors explain to him that he will suffer severe consequences if he does not comply. A flashback reveals Drake's captor to be a businessman named Daniel Pinkerton, who has hired Drake to track down a prized artifact known as the Eye of Indra. Drake assures Pinkerton he will find it and personally deliver it back to Pinkerton.

As Drake studies files on the amulet in a bar, a group of thugs harass him and a fight ensues, which is broken up by a Hispanic woman. The woman introduces herself as Rika,part owner of the bar. Drake suggests that Rika help him translate some of the documents in return for payment of the furniture damaged in the fight. Rika and Drake head upstairs to discuss the documents about the Eye.

They soon discover that the Eye amulet is hidden within the other two treasures of Indra, which Pinkerton has already found.
Drake decides not to tell Pinkerton of this discovery, instead opting to steal it from him.
