Rune Glifberg (born October 7, 1974 in Copenhagen, Denmark) is a professional skateboarder who resides in Costa Mesa, California. Glifberg began skating at age 11 after a friend brought a board over to his house. In the early 1990s, Glifberg turned professional as a vert skater and made the trek across the Atlantic Ocean to the United States. Glifberg signed on with Flip Skateboards, the company he still skates for, and immediately made a splash by trying wild stunts in pools and on vert ramps.

Perhaps Glifberg's most famous trick was his "thread the needle", where he carved in a pool, then jumped off his board and over a propped-up 2x4 while his board rolled under the 2x4, and finally landed on his deck to complete the trick. Glifberg also has a penchant for using bystanders in his tricks; once he lip-tricked off a piece of wood that a fellow skater was holding. Rune now has a part ownership of Flip, and looks to continue his avant-garde brand of skating for years to come.
