Re:Deletion. Yes Im sorry this was my first page and I dont want to mess it up so please just delete it if it is not right. I did it as I like his work here and see him at shows and just took stuff off his websites, not the most computer savvy ;-( A quick deletion would be best then. I was going to do similar articles on other notable artists in my hometown but after reading more info about 'notability' Ill leave it alone. Speedy deletion tagging

Hi Simon-in-sagamihara, just FYI, when you mark a page for speedy deletion, as you did with Syed Umair Javed and Vincent kalina, could you please leave an appropriate Edit summary and notify the page creator about it? I appreciate it. For one thing, I think you'll find that notifying authors will actually reduce how often they remove speedy tags; if a strange tag shows up with no explanation people are more inclined to just delete it. Twinkle is easy to use, doesn't require downloading anything, and does a good job 95% of the time (sometimes it craps out halfway through applying a tag). Fremont Speedway

Could you please give me some feedback on the Fremont Speedway article so I can improve it. You said there is a ton wrong with it and you marked it as advertising, but I don't see how it is any different than the Eldora Speedway article or Knoxville Raceway article. It is simply providing information and a short paraphrased history of Fremont Speedway like these other track articles are. Thanks. Ohiosprint (talk) 04:14, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your question, I appreciate it. Have a look at the scale of events and the notability of the people that are involved in the Eldora article, and the sites which reference it, then compare it to Fremont. Your phrasing is not encyclopaedic and the list of drivers has way too much detail to be considered relevant to the speedway article. I still think it's PROD-worthy, but you may want to cut it down to the bare facts, find pages OTHER than the speedway's own web site that mention it, and build up from there. Ok, thank you very much for the feedback. I will change my phrasing, find more pages other that the speedway's official site, remove the historical information detailing why each driver was inducted into the hall of fame, and work from there. Nelson Shanks

I have declined the Speedy Nomination for the above article. A quick search on Google News Archive gave 370 hits about him, Google Books have 173 hits (some of books by him, but most not) and Google Scholar has 24 hits.

I feel that there is probably enough evidence in some of these sources to show notability, and that the article needs to be expanded rather than deleted.

If you feel this is incorrect, you are welcome to Propose it for deletion or list it at Articles for discussion.

PROD removed from Mankri
