The Neokid

This user is currently on Misplaced Pages.

Userboxes

I checked out the situation in both browsers, in numerous skins, but couldn't see anything out of the ordinary.  :? --King of All the Franks 19:09, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

RE: If anyone else sees the same thing, please tell me. The page is User:Merovingian/Userboxes.

Hi

Hi. You may not have noticed this yet but there is also an encyclopedia on en.wikipedia.org. I see that you have over 150 contributions but have not worked on any articles yet. Allow me to invite you to participate by using the "Random article" button on your left. silsor 23:09, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

RE: Correct. This is because I recently changed my username from Theneokid to The Neokid. I am currently pondering what subjects I could improve. Thank you anyway.

Archiving

Quite right! Wally 22:14, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

RE: Glad to be of service.

My Sandbox Guardian

Why, thank you; unfortunately those were my edits, but I'll be sure to log in next time. I didn't exactly have time, as I am in the middle of class, but it's always nice to know that someone out there is watching over the little unknown parts of me userspace page. For that, I award you thusly:

The Neokid has earned a Cernen's Plusbox for vigilantly guarding my sandbox from vandals and trolls and other ne'er-do-wells

watching my user page

thanks -- it looks like my actual brother is editing my page, so it's not actual vandalism, more of a sibling prank, which is fine with me. I appreciate the looking. (Regarding User:Theinfo ) Theinfo 20:44, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

Re:Your Userpage

Yeh, I guess he/she didn't like me reverting their vandalism :) Don't worry I don't get upset at stuff like that, and better that they mess around with my userpage until the inevitable block comes (I'd already reported at AIAV) rather than a 'proper' article. Still it would have been nice to have had the pleasure of doing the block myself... (can't as not admin). Petros471 18:49, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Re:RfA

Hey, I'm honoured that you've decided to nominate me, however I'm not sure I can accept at this time. To be honest having the admin tools would be really handy, but I think most people voting on WP:RFA are looking for more experience than I've got. I'll ask one or two of the RFA regulars to check. Thanks again, and I'll get back to you. Petros471 19:06, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

After taking advice from BorgHunter, reading the comments from Firefox and Syrthiss below, considering what is happening to Can't sleep, clown will eat me's RFA and looking at Misplaced Pages:Requests for adminship/Standards I have declined your nomination. Thanks again for you confidence in me! --Petros471 17:51, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Petros471

Hmm.. well as much as I respect this user, in my opinion less than 1000 edits possibly isn't enough to get a good response on the RfA. I'll leave voting and everything for now, but I'll see how it goes. I certainly won't oppose this user. FireFox T • 19:07, 20 January 2006

RE: Petros471 has the skill, but just needs the opportunity. The above message was not transferred to FireFox's talk page.

Pardon me for wikisnooping, but I'm also afraid that while I see nothing but good faith in your nomination I'm worried that it is way too soon for Petros471. Most people will automatically oppose on the basis of edit counts and time spent. You both are of course welcome to try, but when RFAs go south they tend to really go south...and if Petros471 would normally be a shoe in after 3 months, some people will hold it against him/her for trying again too soon. A failure here would likely lead to not being able to successfully pass a nomination until 3+ months from now. Anyways, thats my $0.02 wikistalking (tho I'm wikistalking neokid, not petros471) cents. :) --Syrthiss 19:49, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Come and vote your mind

Dear Christian friend,

I saw you on the list of Christian Wikipedians and wanted to let you know about something. The other day, someone nominated 12 Christian biography entries for deletion! They include a Christian university list of people (not unlike 68 other lists like it), presidents of universities, and authors of many books.

Since that time, people have been voting. Please take this message as a call to vote; not a call to vote a certain way. I respect you and your ability to come, read the entry, and make a wise decision. In other words, I’m not vote stacking or campaigning; simply letting you know something that you’d probably like to know.

By the way, my friend recently started an organization called Wiki4Christ. If you’d like to join a network of Christians with a purpose on Misplaced Pages, please see the site!

Below are some of the links that need attention. Thanks for your consideration.

RE: Sockpuppet.

Wikistalking...

...is loosely described as "following someone around on wikipedia". In extreme (bad) cases, people will go through your contributions list and check every single one of your edits for any possible problem...show up on articles you've edited that they've never edited on before just to cause problems...etc. My wikisnooping of you is a combination of laziness (forgot to take your page off of my watchlist when we were talking when you first arrived) and just trying to keep an eye on a newer member in case you started getting in to trouble by accident as you learned the ropes. --Syrthiss 11:47, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
