Request for cabal mediation

Request Information

Request made by: IronDuke 04:05, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
http://en.wikipedia.org/Reed_College
Who's involved?
IronDuke and Gnetwerker.
What's going on?
Gnetwerker and I have several issues. I feel that Gnetwerker is attempting to push POV, and he feels the same way about me. I also feel that Gnetwerker is a trustee of Reed College, and this ought to either 1) not edit that page or 2) use great caution in making controversial edits. Gnetwerker neither confirms nor denies that he is a trustee, and does not feel he ought to recuse himself. Lastly, Gnetwerker deleted our entire discussion about NPOV, recusal due to his trusteeship, etc. from the talk page. I also feel that Gnetwerker is intemperate, uncivil, and prone to making personal attacks.
What would you like to change about that?
I would like someone to state if WP has a policy on someone in Gnetwerker's position editing an article about a business they are in some sense in charge of, and if such does not exist, make suggestions about what Gnetwerker ought or ought not to do in reference to this page.
If you'd prefer we work discreetly, how can we reach you?
Talk page is fine. I'd like to just note that the page has been protected (although not the talk page and I'm worried Gnetwerker will simply re-delete my comments: the last thing I want is a revert war on a talk page). I asked the person who protected the page what I should do, but have received no response.

I will be happy to comment at greater length if requested. However, my position is that User:IronDuke is, in essence, a vandal. His initial contribution to the Reed College page was the sentence: "deaths from heroin overdoses by members of the Reed community were not uncommon in the mid 1990s". This statement has been unequivocally proved incorrect on the Talk page. User:IronDuke has presented to the page absolutely no content that is NPOV and/or Verifiable. He is, by personal attestation, not affiliated with the College, and so lacks any demonstrable expertise to comment on the College. Furthermore, he wishes to edit the Reed page in a manner vastly different from other college pages. IronDuke's responses to being stopped have been personal attacks on me. -- Gnetwerker 07:40, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
