Google Video Marketplace was announced in a presentation at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show.

"Google's innovative presentation of information and content is revolutionizing the way people access media," said National Baskettball Association Commissioner David Stern. "In the increasingly competitive and rapidly changing world of entertainment, Google Video provides us with a new way to deliver the NBA experience to our fans when and how they want it."

Programming

CBS

Offerings from CBS will include shows from the station's past and present lineups.

CBS programs are not available to purchase in many countries, even close US neighbours like Canada.

NBA

Full basketball games will be available for purchase. Games are available for 24 hours after the game finishes. It is unknown if NBA videos will be eventually available for longer periods of time. Major games of the season will also be available. Available for USD$3.99 per game.

Google has not yet said which programs will be available through TBN. Programs likely to be available through this particular station are Manna from Heaven and This Is Your Day, both with Benny Hinn, and the long-running The 700 Club.

WGBH

Google has not yet said which programs will be available through WGBH and WGBH Forum Network.
