The 2019 AFC Asian Cup, will be the 17th AFC Asian Cup. It will be held in January or July of 2019. The hosts will be announced in January 2015 at the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, but the date was originally brought forward to March 2010. The AFC recently announced that the official bidding process would not conclude until June 30, 2010.
Host selection
The AFC announced that the host of the Asian Cup will be rotated to either West Asia or South West Asia for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
In 2009, Mohammed Bin Hammam wanted Iran to have been confirmed as the sole bidders for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. India, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain are others candidates for this cup.
