American football player
Trent Baalke

Trent John Baalke is the Vice President of Player Personnel for the San Francisco 49ers, having been promoted to this position from Director of Player Personnel in May of 2010. Because the 49ers do not have a General Manager, Baalke oversees many of the duties that a GM would normally be responsible for, such as drafting players, signing free agents, and organizing trades. He was hired by the 49ers in 2005 as their Western region scout, having previously been the National Scout and College Scouting Coordinator for the Washington Redskins. He was also a scout for the New York Jets from 1998 to 2000. He lives in Colorado with his wife and two daughters.
