Naeem "Nick" Noorani is a social entrepreneur and an immigrant advocate in Canada. Originally from India, Noorani immigrated to Canada in 1998 from Dubai where he worked as a marketing executive for a multinational advertising agency. He has worked several odd jobs such as a telemarketer for a local newspaper before starting Canadian Immigrant Magazine and authoring bestseller Arrival Survival Canada. He is also known for giving the talk "Seven Success Secrets for Canadian Immigrants" where he shares his own experiences as an immigrant with newcomers to Canada across the country. In 2008, Nick created Canada's first national recognition of immigrant contributions to Canada named 'Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards'. Winners in the past two years include former Governor General Adrienne Clarkson, current Governor General Michaelle Jean, Ian Hanomansingh and John Furlong amongst others. Nick resigned from the magazine in August 2010 to pursue his dream to continue helping immigrants.
