Hi, PMDrive, Hi, PMDrive,

Thank you for your response. This is not my first article. It may have read as if it were a cut and paste, but it was authored by myself and a colleague. Would it help to take out the cited material? I would appreciate any help you can offer, thanks. Thank you for your response. This is not my first article. Happy Thanksgiving!

Neutralhomer wishes you a Happy Thanksgiving and hopes your day is full of good times, good food, good family, good football, a good parade and a good nap...then shopping tomorrow. :) Have a Great Day! :)

Spread the joy of Thanksgiving by adding {{subst:HappyThanksgiving}} to their talk page with a friendly message.

Deeanne Gist

Please revert the deletion of the article on novelist Deeanne Gist. As an award winning, best-selling author, her notability is clear. Her fans just need time to improve the article. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Greg.Hartley (talkcontribs) 21:11, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Deletion of Haroon ur Rasheed / reverted Model Town Humak page

There was no Misplaced Pages article on a famous Pakistani columnist Haroon ur Rasheed, so I thought to take this initiative and created a page for him. But you deleted that page within few minutes. Yes, it was just created and at that time 'article had no meaningful, substantive content', but you did not let others to contribute!

Dear PMDrive1061, you also reverted my edits in Model Town Humak. Now, I am very curious about your explanation. I am native of this town, yet you reverted my edits. You have even reverted a spelling correction of word 'gazette' by me, it was spelled 'gazzette'. Please explain.

I would appreciate if you could reconsider your actions in aforementioned regard.

Thanks Chjohnny (talk)

Shaolin Kempo Karate

I see the history on the Shaolin Kempo Karate page, and I don't understand why it keeps getting deleted. It is a martial arts system that is more widely practiced than Kung Fu in the United States and there are hundreds of dojos and sub-sections of the art that are practiced. It is also unique from American Kenpo in that it is far more complex and incorporates animal forms. It was founded as a proprietary form by Fred Villari, but it continues to evolve and grow. Currently, there are several thousand nationwide practitioners, and it is a completely valid system like Okinawan Karate, Shotokan Karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wing Chun, etc...

I would like to work on the page, and let the wikipedia community contribute knowledge - as there are some secrets that would be really great to flesh out.

Please let there be a Shaolin Kempo Karate page. It is an art, not a business. The business is called "Villari's Martial Arts Studios" and/or "Villari's Self Defense Centers."Kurtsayin (talk) 19:06, 10 December 2010 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kurtsayin (talkcontribs) 18:29, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

I was looking into Shaolin Kempo Karate because of interest in possibly taking a class or two. It is the system taught by what appears to be a large chain of martial arts studios. I wanted to know a little about it's background, how it is viewed in the martical arts community, etc. Of course, I turned to Misplaced Pages as a potential source of hopefully objective information, only to find what appears to be a systematic deletion of any reference to it. So basically Misplaced Pages has no info on one of the most widely taught martial arts systems in the US. The reasons for deletion include references to the page not indicating the importance of the topic. Given the number of people being taught this form of martial arts, I would think it's importance was self evident. You might as well ask what is the imprtance of the rock band Uria Heap, or the TV series She Wolf of London, both of which are arguably more obscure than (and therefore of less importance than) Shaolin Kempo Karate and I can find pages on in Misplaced Pages. This I find completly un-credible as a reason for deletion. This does not give me a lot of faith that Misplaced Pages is an objective source of info, becayse as well intentioned as your deletion may have been in makes it look like Wikipdeia is being manipulated by those who don't want Shaolin Kempo Karate mentioned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.60.85.223 (talk) 21:00, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) The reason for that would be that the martial arts proclivities of the inhabitants don't have anything to do with the physical location. We don't talk about what kinds of church services occur in Notre Dame Cathedral beyond saying that it's a Catholic church; similarly, the Shaolin Monastery is primarily about the physical location. Now, if you feel that it's relevant, be bold and add it in; I'll go over and work with you on it as well, as I'm very interested in East Asian history. Yes, but there is certainly a page on Catholicism and Zen Buddhism, and that is really the point. SKK is a unique system just like Tae Kwon Do or Krav Magga, Kali, Wushu, Okinawan Karate or whatever are unique systems. There should be a page for the system, and I'm working on one that will hopefully be put up publicly so people can add info and sources. Kurtsayin (talk) 17:36, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

@PMDrive1061: I've worked on the SKK page on my own time for a few days and cited an industry magazine, a book on the history of Kempo, Fred Villari's own book, as well as a couple of internet sources that are themselves martial arts organizations online. I was not able to verify the belt ranking system by any written document - I was however able to verify it through my Sensei who is a 5th degree black belt in the system and trained under Grandmaster Villari who created Shaolin Kempo Karate, so he is certainly a relevant authority on the matter, but I don't know how best to cite something of that sort... Can you check the article and potentially clear it for public view?Kurtsayin (talk) 18:07, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Fix to Wendy Starland please

In reverting this set of changes to Wendy Starland the |Background= field of {{infobox musical artist}} was changed from its correct value of |Background=solo_singer. Now that you've sysop protected the page I cant' fix it back, would you make the correction please? Thanks Rjwilmsi 11:44, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Epoxy Moisture Control Systems (Flooring)

I don't understand the note that you sent me. I paraphrased a sentence in an article from an industry expert and cited it as required, but my entire post was deleted for copyright infringment. Can you please explain to me how I can correct this?

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tivona schneider (talkcontribs) 16:07, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi. If the content was original, it would likely be OK to keep. Problem was, it read as if it was a cut-and-paste and was promotional in nature as well. You were off on the right foot by citing your sources, though. The best advice I can give would be to direct you to WP:YFA which will help with a first article and its layout. You're also more than welcome to ask me or other users for help as well. Good luck and I hope this helps. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 16:11, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi, PMDrive,

Thank you for your response. This is not my first article. It may have read as if it were a cut and paste, but it was authored by myself and a colleague. Would it help to take out the cited material? I would appreciate any help you can offer, thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tivona schneider (talkcontribs) 20:32, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Great Big Bowl of Porridge

I'm not quite sure why that caused such outrage. I moved a very large section from this article which several editors had flagged as massively POV and completely unsubstantiated. Because no one wanted it kept but people wanted it discussed but it was too large for the Talk page, I moved it out of the article temporarily and gave it a name so unlikely that no casual Wiki reader would stumble across it by accident. It's not supposed to be an article, it's material which is under review by other editors. We can give it a name which will fool people into thinking it's a proper article if you like, but I don't think that's a good idea. I see that you have now completely deleted all the material, which is precisely what those of us who were going to be discussing it and seeing if we could rescue any of the text for the article did not want to happen. Please don't take the axe to other people's material and delete it irrevocably without any consultation whatsoever, and without stopping to think a little and ask exactly what is going on. You have now cost us a lot of time and effort.--Taiwan boi (talk) 16:29, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

WP:VAN says:
