Image Tagging Image:Faisal Mosque Islamabad.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Faisal Mosque Islamabad.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Misplaced Pages (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --gren グレン 19:01, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

Images

You have to start giving sources for where you get your images. You cannot just throw on public domain tags without giving us reasons for this. It is clear that some of these things are not your own work and to put on a public domain tag if it is not is illegal. We need to be able to verify that what you are adding is listed under the proper copyright so please help us out. Thanks. Until then you can assume that many of your images will be given Template:no source and maybe deleted. They are nice pictures so please help us save them. To see what image you've uploaded so you can more easily check just see this page. gren グレン 13:46, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Muslim thinkers in Urdu article

Dear M,

You may get great satisfaction out of reading those Muslim writers, but I'm not sure that any of them (save perhaps Maududi) is known for his style OUTSIDE the realm of religious literature. You can't use a language article to push your view of Islam. Other editors will not let you. Please don't play revert war. Zora 17:48, 10 December 2005 (UTC)

Sind

You've done some great improvements in the Sind article! Keep it up!! deeptrivia (talk) 06:06, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

yes, your formatting was a good idea. Do you think you do a similar make-over for the other provinces and sub-regions of Pakistan as well? It would help with continuity so that all the province articles match. I worked on and added a lot of the information before you started your edits on all of the provinces so if you could help out some more that would be great. Thanks. MQM

When you write about political parties or personalities, people have very different views about them. Take Tony Blair, how many like what he is doing. So be careful when you write anything which is controversial, if you write some thing which others don’t like due to political difference, please give solid reference. This is wikipedia, you can write what you like but be careful. There were some factual errors. Somebody wrote that it is third largest political party. I don’t know when it happened. Please pinpoint my editing which you thing are incorrect, I’ll be first to change in interest of wikipedia. Also don’t write comments on user page, write in discussion page. Last word, if you have references about MQM, Muhajirs and related articles, write them. But make sure that they are correct. We all want only correct information on wikipedia, even if some people dont like it. Thank you. Spasage 11:10, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Old_Karachi.jpg

Warning sign
This image may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Old_Karachi.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Misplaced Pages (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --OrphanBot 08:08, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

Karachi images

OrphanBot! Hi, I've uploaded the image you pinpoint along with three others, yesterday (and did not claim that I produced these images). I have also provide the URL where the images are given, So that an experience editor confirm that these images are either PD or their fari use is permissible.

It should be noted that it is explicitly written on CreativeCommon webpage as well as source page http://www.world66.com/about/copyright_policy that

You are free:

   * to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work
   * to make derivative works
   * to make commercial use of the work

Please tell what should more I do.

Since the images are under the Creative Commons 1.0 Share-Alike license, you need to replace the {{somewebsite}} or {{Don't know}} tag with the {{cc-sa}} tag. This puts the image in the correct copyright category. I've changed Image:Creek_Marina_Club_Karachi.jpeg to show you what's needed. --Carnildo 03:59, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Changed infobox

There's no point having an infobox if only one article uses it - each province plus Islamabad had their own infobox. So I've replaced the obsolete Template:Sind_infobox with a generic one for all provinces and territories. Green Giant 01:06, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

I have made the Template:Sind infobox few months ago. Well, its good to have unique infobox for all provinces. I appreacite your efforts on desinging Template:Pakistan infobox.
User:M.Imran 11:45, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the message. I replaced the infoboxes because most countries with provinces and states have a single infobox for their subdivisions. Sorry if it makes the Sind infobox obsolete. Green Giant 12:03, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
