Christopher Kelly (born 1978), known as Chris Kelly, is a Conservative Party politician in England. He is the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Dudley South constituency in the West Midlands of England. He was elected to parliament at the 2010 general election, in the seat which was previously been occupied by Labour's Ian Pearson for 13 years. He is a member of the European Scrutiny Committee.
Education
Kelly was educated at Wolverhampton Grammar School, an independent school in the city of Wolverhampton in the Black Country of the West Midlands 1989-96, followed by Oxford Brookes University, where he was a History and Politics student 1996-1999, and Imperial College Business School in 2002/3 where he gained an MBA.
Life and career
Kelly has held numerous positions in sales, marketing and business development in his family business, Keltruck Ltd - a Scania truck dealership headquartered in West Bromwich - culminating in the position of marketing director for three years from 2006 to 2009.
After business school, Kelly worked as research assistant for Michael Howard in 2004/5 whilst the latter served as Leader of the Conservative Party.
