There are nine national parks in Slovakia (besides many other kinds of natural protection areas and reserves):

Greater Fatra National Park in the Greater Fatra (Veľká Fatra) mountains
Lesser Fatra National Park in the Lesser Fatra (Malá Fatra) mountains
Low Tatras (Nízke Tatry)
Muráň Plain (Muránska planina)
Pieniny National Park in the Pieniny mountains
Poloniny Mountains
Slovak Karst (Slovenský kras)
Slovak Paradise (Slovenský raj)
