Arindam Chaudhuri (Template:Lang-hi) is an Indian economist, management guru and a honourary Director of the IIPM Think Tank at Indian Institute of Planning and Management. He is the founder of the Planman group of companies and the charity The Great Indian Dream Foundation. He is the winner of three National Film Awards from the Government of India.
Biography
Arindam is the son of Dr. Malayendra Kisor Chaudhuri, who founded the Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) in 1973. He received his Post Graduate Diploma in Planning and Entrepreneurship from IIPM in 1992, and was awarded the Academic Gold Medal. He later became the Honorary Dean for the IIPM Centre for Economic Research and Advanced Studies.
Planman Motion Pictures
The film Rok Sako To Rok Lo was Arindam's debut film venture.
Planman Motion Pictures went on to produced Bengali movies Sanjhbatir Rupkathara (2002), Dosar (2006) and the National Film Award winner Faltu (2006). The company also produced two more Hindi movies Mithya (2008), starring Ranvir Shorey, Neha Dhupia, Naseeruddin Shah and Vinay Pathak. and Sunglass (to be released). Another movie produced by them, The Last Lear was awarded the National Film Award for Best Film in English in the year 2009 by the Government of India.
Great Indian Dream Foundation
In 2002, Arindam Chaudhuri founded the charity, Great Indian Dream Foundation (GIDF). As per GIDF, it works in over three hundred villages in rural India to achieve its objectives of universal education and employment and eradicating poverty, according to its website.
Other ventures
In 2004, Arindam Chaudhuri founded Planman I:TES (renamed in 2006 as Planman Technologies), an IT services company and Planman Life, an advertising and television production company.
Also in 2004, Arindam Chaudhuri was appointed as a member of the Consultative Committee for the Planning Commission, Government of India.

Publications
Arindam Chaudhuri has published three books:
- Planning India, an essay on how government and society should focus on policies that benefit the bottom 80% of society.
- Discover the diamond in you, a motivational book
- Count your chickens before they hatch, a self-help guide.
- The Great Indian Dream, (co-authored with his father Dr. Malay Chaudhuri) a compilation of essays on how India can grow at over 10% to create per capita income levels of a developed country by 2025.
His Planman Group of Companies also publishes five magazines:
- Business & Economy, a fortnightly business and policy magazine
- 4Ps B&M, a fortnighly magazine on corporate news and issues
- The Sunday Indian, a news weekly in English and 14 other Indian languages
- The Human Factor, a monthly magazine on human resources and related issues
