Honda S2000

The S2000 was launched in the fall of 2000 with a 2.0 liter, 240 horsepower (179 kW), 153 lb ft (207 Nm) torque engine, otherwise known as the F20C. The S2000 continued the tradition of the S cars for Honda, lightweight roadsters with a number designating engine displacement.

The RWD platform surprised many in the industry since Honda only produced one other RWD car, that being the $100,000 Acura NSX.

The S2000 racked up the accolades, including Car and Driver 10 Best Awards and numerous other comparison tests.

In 2004, Honda increased the stroke of the engine, thus displacing 2.2 liters and putting out more torque as well.
