South Horizons (海怡半島) is a private residential area on the island of Ap Lei Chau, in Hong Kong, located near Ap Lei Chau Estate. It consists of 34 blocks, ranging in height from 25 to 42 storeys, constructed from 1991-1995. South Horizons is divided into 4 phases, which phase I and phase IV are closer to the public housing estate. The property is currently owned and managed by Hutchison Whampoa Limited.
Ap Lei Chau Power Station was located on the site of the housing estate from 1969 to 1984.

Taxis
Taxis are another way of transportation to the rest of Hong Kong. The red taxi currently is available in South Horizons, which can go throughout Hong Kong.
MTR System
A new station, South Horizons, on the MTR South Island Line East Section, is scheduled for completion in 2014. The project is very necessary due to the growing population in the Southern District such as Aberdeen and Pok Fu Lam Estates. However, the project has two phases. The South Island Line West and the South Island Line East are run on different routes. The Western Line is more likely to not be made due to the fact that very few people live on the western edge of the island, where the cliffs are very steep and is just down into the ocean. The project layout has been changed many times, and the most recent and popular is shown below:
