She wrote a bi-weekly column in NRC Handelsblad and now is a regular contributor to Project Syndicate. Her work has been published in international newspapers such as The Financial Times, The New York Times, Foreign Policy and Le Monde. In 2009 she was a TV host for Dutch Television (VARA).
