] http://www.kashmirsentinel.com/aug1999/index.html Col Rinchen belonged to a celebrated Warrior family of Sumur in Nubra Valley. One of his forefathers in eighteenth century had distinguished himself against raiders from Turkistan. STAKRE (in Ladakhi ‘Lion) title was conferred on him by King of Ladakh for this bravery. The personality of Col. Rinchen was true to the literal meaning of his name. In Ladakhi Chhewang means hero and Rinchen full of life. For her compassion, Col Rinchen’s mother is known as the mother of Nubra valley.
It was a touch and go situation in 1947 in Ladakh. The efforts of legendary heroes-Brig. Sher Jung Thapa, Col. Prithvi Chand and Col Chhewang Rinchen made possible what looked impossible. Defence of Ladakh looked difficult because the only route i.e. Zojila was closed. Col. C. Rinchen, then a young boy of seventeen held the fort in Nubra and was instrumental in the defence of Leh.
In 1971 he captured for India the strategic Turtuk-which is the tough underbelly of Siachen Col. Rinchen went on to win for his extraordinary valour double Mahavirchakra, the highest gallantry award besides a Sena medal. From a guerrilla warrior in 1947, Col Rinchen retired as a full Colonel in 1984. His younger brother, P Namgyal who also participated in 1948 campaign represented Ladakh Parliamentary seat many times and also served in the central cabinet.

Your edits were reverted because it contained OR. As per stringent guidelines for Biography, calling such pejorative adjectives should be well referenced. This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive comments.
If you continue to make personal attacks on other people, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Edit summaries like this one and this one, as well as comments like this are absolutely unacceptable on Misplaced Pages. Please read Misplaced Pages:No personal attacks, and refrain from making such personal attacks in the future. Lankiveil 13:33, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
- The issue of whether that particular person is controversial or not is not of concern to me, what is of concern are your hostile remarks towards fellow editors that quite clearly cross the line of what is considered acceptable behaviour. Again, I invite you to read Misplaced Pages:No personal attacks, and reflect upon whether the aggressive tone you adopted towards User:Zencv is within the spirit of that policy.
- If you really want to influence the article and include particular content on it, the way to do this that has the highest chance of success is reasoned, polite discourse on the article's talk page, not insults directed at other editors. Lankiveil 08:12, 2 September 2008 (UTC).

Unreferenced BLPs
Hello Raulmisir! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

File copyright problem with File:Nirmala-pathak-katni-mayor.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Nirmala-pathak-katni-mayor.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Misplaced Pages takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:26, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Sanjay-pathak-mla-01.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Sanjay-pathak-mla-01.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Misplaced Pages's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Off2riorob (talk) 13:23, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
ArbCom elections are now open!
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
