Formal block notice

As promised, you are now temporarily blocked for your continued ownership of that article. You are not free to exclusively WP:OWN that article and edit warring over {{inuse}} or {{Underconstruction}} to gain unilateral control of the article is not acceptable. Toddst1 (talk) 21:33, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

Nonsense

I changed the tag on Html for a button to Test Page. Nonsense is for things like 'trxytrvujyiob oino jvuyvuy' (but make sure it's not in some form of Foreign - even though it mau look unpronounceable, drop a couple of 'words' into Google first). It's also for things like 'bear pole infraction scarlet hypericum floozy' that would not pass muster even at a Surreal Poetry club. If it makes some sort of sense, it's not our nonsense cat. It's actually quite rare as a CSD find. Test page covers quite a few things, but I think this was a genuine test. Peridon (talk) 11:28, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

May 2012

You have been blocked from editing for a period of much longer for edit warring, as you did at Ken McGowan. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Toddst1 (talk) 20:23, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for making a report about Anon360 (talk · contribs · block log) on Misplaced Pages:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Misplaced Pages and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 20:25, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have attempted to discuss the dispute at hand with another editor on the talk page, and suggested to him/her that dispute resolution could be a good idea. I realize that I should have simply sought out the resolution rather than continuing to edit. I haven't been involved with an editing war before, but I realize I didn't handle this properly. I won't object to this page being protected so this can be sorted out. In the mean time, I would appreciate if this block could be removed so that I can return to editing other pages. West Eddy (talk) 20:38, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Decline reason:

So, you were blocked for twelve hours for edit warring, then your very first edits soon after the block expired were to the same article, and you continued the same pattern of reverting again? Why should we now believe that you've learned your lesson, and won't do the same thing on other pages? I might be inclined to consider some sort of intermediate solution (like, letting you be unblocked so long as you don't edit that article at all, and that any sign of edit warring anywhere would result in a rapid and uncontestable even longer block), but that would require a careful discussion of conditions and the consent of Toddst1. I would agree to that. Watch me like a hawk. (is this the proper place to respond to your questions? -- sorry if it isn't) West Eddy (talk) 03:44, 7 May 2012 (UTC) (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
