There should me more added to this regarding here history, as well as more detail on her routine.--Mark 19:44, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

RIT / deaf protest

Regarding this edit... I saw another editor suggest the event attracted national attention from the press. If that can be proven, I wouldn't mind if the section is included. (the NPOV concerns could be resolved by stating just what the edit summary stated... that insult comics insult everyone... Lisa says exactly that near the end of this video she posted (going so far as to turn the issue around, saying that the deaf community should be offended if she omitted deaf people from her routine, since she insults everyone else)). --Interiot 17:04, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

For what it's worth, there's this article from the Quad-City Times in Iowa. It's also written from Lisa's perspective on the situation, so it would provide some balance to the mainly anti-Lisa sources that were given before. But I still don't have much of an opinion on the whole thing. --Interiot 18:57, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
At this point, I think it's died down and is a non-issue. When it happened, I didn't know if it would blow over or become a Michael Richards or Don Imus sort of situation. It seems to have blown over, so I'm fine with its omission now. —C.Fred (talk) 19:48, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of non-encyclopedic sentences/quotation

This article includes the following sentences within a quotation: "I interviewed those fuckin' hair bands: Cinderella, Slaughter. They were dumb as a post." I see no reason for this to be included in an encyclopedic article. Unless anyone has an objection, I will delete these sentences/this quote soon. --Zach425 /contribs 12:32, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Is her ethnic background relevant in the intro?

Up until recently, the introduction of the article had identified Lampanelli as an Italian-American; it's been changed recently to just call her American.

Is her Italian background significant enough that it should be mentioned in the introduction, or should we just disclose her nationality in the intro and save the background for the early/personal life section? What Misplaced Pages policies support your position? —C.Fred (talk) 00:38, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

What Misplaced Pages policies support yours? I don't see any reason why it should be removed. Her last name seems to imply it is significant. With all due respect, Orpherebus. (talk) 06:58, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

What if we call her American of Italian descent? That won't work! She is American and has an Italian AND Polish background. She nor her parents were born in Italy, therefore she is not an Italian-American. Also, If we call her Italian-American, than would we call Howard Stern Jewish-American, or Conan O'Brien Irish-American? (talk 09:36, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

WP:MOSBIO, no ethnicity in intro unless it's part of why they are famous. Besides, she's not full Italian. All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 02:56, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Celebrity Apprentice 5

This information needs to be proportional within her two decades of performing. This section was way over-detailed criticism and written by someone who seems to have a big problem with Lampanelli's humor. It was sourced to gossip sites like TMZ and was not encyclopedic. We can discuss information from a major newspaper or magazine, but the gossip site stuff is not acceptable sourcing. Jokestress (talk) 18:19, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

Jokestress, enough! Multiple times you've come to this article and attempted article ownership in an abrasive manner, telling everyone that their edits are "crap". It's rude and disrespectful. If you were really interested in a logical discussion on the manner, you wouldn't have started it off so belligerently. Also, if you'd read the sources carefully instead of just trying to impose your will and get your way to feel satisfied, you'd know that they're perfectly legitimate sources. Lampanelli was even interviewed on the TMZ source as shown here: ] so it's perfectly credible.173.0.254.229 (talk) 18:51, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
