Steven H. Strogatz is Professor of theoretical and applied mechanics at Cornell University.

Strogatz graduated with a PhD from Harvard University in 1989, and taught in the Department of Mathematics at MIT from 1989 to 1994. He has published several papers on nonlinear dynamics and complex network, and authored the textbook Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos and the trade book Sync.
