Club career

América

Jimenez is one of the promising young players of América, who debuted under Alfredo Tena in the Torneo Apertura 2011. He made his senior team debut on October 9, 2011 as a starter in a match against Monarcas Morelia in a 1 - 1 draw at the Estadio Azteca.

He scored his first official goal against Puebla in the 2' minute in a 2-3 loss.

International career

Mexico U23

Raul Jimenez was called up by Luis Fernando Tena for the 18 man roster that will go to London for the 2012 Summer Olympics

He is renowned for his excellent vision, often being compared to Dennis Bergkamp of Arsenal, due to him being able to pick a pass in difficult situations. He is a creator, rather than a finisher - in contrast to Javier Hernandez.
