Luxembourg national football team
Well, what wasn't neutral about the edit on Luxembourg national football team? I mean maybe it wasn't, but I don't really get why. Luxembourg is a very small nation (circa 400,000 nationals) and they've never qualified for a EURO or a World Cup. They win a competitive match once in three or four years, mostly against other relatively weak teams. When they win a match against a fairly good team (such as Switzerland), this is a great success for them. Here's a link to the Luxembourgish-language news journal from the day after the win against Albania in 2011: (the journal starts at 3:40, the beginning is just ads). It was the headline of the evening news and you can see fans and players jumping around like they've won the EURO, even though they had not the smallest chance of qualifying for the tournament. And this is the evening news, not a sports journal! --- All this is not condescending. It is a very small nation and it's difficult for them to win. Maybe we could rephrase the text to make it work? Even though I don't think any Luxembourgish person would find it inapproriate the way I phrased it. No offense meant :) Tell me what you think. 82.83.202.139 (talk) 11:14, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, I gave it another shot. I hope you're ok now. Otherwise you might want to rephrase it yourself, instead of just deleting it. Especially as the article was almost empty. Some basic information would be good.82.83.202.139 (talk) 14:35, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
- I have done another very little rephrasing of the last sentence. I hope we can both agree on this version now... Funny how much time can be spent on three sentences :) Best regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.83.202.139 (talk) 17:28, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
Danso Gordon
Hi, our lines got crossed over at the DG article, I was cleaning up and we got edit conflicted, I did delete the unsourced, trivial stuff and as I said in the ES "summarized ad career" and added a fact tag to the last linE. Couldn't really see the harm of summarizing the listing of every ad that he's done, down to a couple of lines, then maybe someone would come along and clean that up! Glad that you got rid of that wholoe section about his upbringing and such, don't know if I would have been as bold. CaptainScreebo 16:19, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
Arsen Beglaryan
Can you take down the protection for making an article about Arsen Beglaryan? The page had been deleleted half a dozen times by Admins, including you, because it wasn't ready, but now it is and I'd like to upload it. --TheShadowCrow (talk) 16:29, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
- Just look in mine. He no longer fails WP:GNG and the other times the article was deleted it was because a banned user made them. --TheShadowCrow (talk) 16:49, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
- He plays for a national team and is in the Armenian Premier League. Please don't turn this into another game. --TheShadowCrow (talk) 17:16, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
- The article is well sourced and your link doesn't say if the Armenian league is flly professional or not. And Notability doesn't mention leaving the bench. --TheShadowCrow (talk) 18:05, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
- If you read the article, you'd know it contains references from Armenian news websites. No, the page doesn't say that. And the Armenian League isn't mentioned under "Top level leagues which are not fully professional" either. --TheShadowCrow (talk) 18:34, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
- The page admits the list is incomplete. And what's wrong with the references? Everything on the article is proven. --TheShadowCrow (talk) 18:50, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
