Maysara Abu Hamdiya (1948 – March 7, 2013) was a Palestinian prisoner in Israel, who died of throat cancer at the age of 64, in April 2013. Hamdiya was a retired Palestinian general and had been detained in prison since 2002. His death sparked protests in various Israeli prisons and in the city of Hebron in Palestine.

He was admitted to Soroka Medical Center in late March, where he died soon after. He had previously accused Israeli prison authorities of medical neglect and said he was only being given pain killers.
