On ], 2006, nine untitled demos, by the ] band ], leaked onto the Internet. The demos were recorded while preparing for their third full length album, '']'', released by ] on ], ]. It is not yet known who is responsible for the leak.

==Band reaction==
The band was disappointed to hear of the leak, however they play the demos at live shows. When they announce the song, the say what track it is on this demo. For example, before playing "Luca" (then known as "Untitled 06 (Mamas)") at a show, Jesse announced the song by saying, "this one is number six." In an interview with the band the question was asked, "Did the Internet leak of your demos affect the progress of the new album?" The responses were as follows<ref name="AbPunk"></ref>:
{{cquote2|If it affected anything, I would say it did it in a good way 'cause so many people were curious to hear what we have been doing--and for the most part, the record tracks don't sound anything like the leaked demos.|Garrett Tierney}}
{{cquote2|For me it was different. It had me pretty down for a while. No one likes to show their creation in mid-process, and those songs weren't done. They were like blueprints. Just the plan, right? It put me in a state where I was under the impression that those songs had been wasted or something--that we had to go and write new things because those had been heard. Now, in retrospect, I want those songs to be on the album and many of them aren't, and I'm probably more to blame for that than anyone. This record already feels incomplete to me without those tracks and probably will forever.<ref name="AbPunk"/>|Jesse Lacey}}
{{cquote2|I can relate to both of those sentiments. In one way it was kind of refreshing and motivating to know that people were still so interested and curious as to what we were up to in that period where we sort of disappeared. But I was also worried that it would derail the process because the four of us had created a pretty safe place where the only critics were ourselves. As much as we tried to shield ourselves from letting the leak affect us, it definitely did. There was a feeling of being robbed, after keeping everything so close to ourselves and then having it heard before it was completed. As Jesse said, I wish some of those songs were on the record. But they do exist on a certain plane, so people do know that we were working and creating.|Vincent "Vin" Accardi}}

==Track listing==
<!-- NOTE TO EDITORS: Fan titles or nicknames should not be posted unless they have been said to be official titles. "Untitled 05" was referred to as "Nobody Moves" on a live setlist from the band and has never been titled "Cleanser". "Cleanser" is a totally different song unto itself, it is not the same song as "Nobody Moves". The titles "Morrissey" and "The Edge Takes Over For Vin" are also NOT official titles and should not be mentioned as official or "band confirmed". They were created by the folks at BNUK as a joke (referencing how 2 sounds like Morrisey and the guitar on 9 sounds like edge from U2). Thanks. -->

When these tracks first leaked, no titles were known, and the songs were simple referred to by their tracklist order ("Untitled 01", "Untitled 02", etc.). Over time, a few of their actual titles have been revealed.

# "Good Man" - 2:11
# "Untitled 02" - 5:08
# "Brothers" - 4:00
# "Untitled 04" - 5:06
# "Nobody Moves" - 7:05
# "Luca" (early version) - 4:13
# "Fork and Knife" (early version) - 3:03
# "Sowing Season (Yeah)" (early version)- 5:06
# "Untitled 09" - 5:32

* A working title for "Sowing Season" was simply "Yeah".
* A working title for "Luca" (Reprisal version) was "Mamas" or "The Mamas and The Papas song".
* The official titles for "Untitled 02", "Untitled 04", and "Untitled 09" have not been given or may have never had an official title.

== Appearances on ''The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me'' ==
* "Untitled 06 (Mamas)" was reworked into the song "Luca", released on ''The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me''.
* "Untitled 08 (Yeah)" was reworked into the song "Sowing Season (Yeah)", released on ''The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me''.
* "Untitled 03 (Brothers)" was reworked into the song "Coca-Cola" featured on some versions of the album and also on the "Sowing Season" single. On all official releases, the song is listed as "aloC-acoC".
* The chorus of "Untitled 09" bears a slight resemblance to the chorus of "Archers/The Archers' Bows Have Broken". It should be noted that the songs are completely independent of each other aside from this small similarity and should not be considered alternate versions of each other.

== Official releases ==
* "Untitled 06 (Mamas)" was released as "Luca - Reprisal Version" as a bonus track on the UK edition of ''The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me''.
* "Untitled 03 (Brothers)" was released on the 7" vinyl single version of "Jesus Christ".
* A re-recording of "Untitled 07", now officially called "(Fork and Knife)", was released through online music stores such as Amazon and ] on October 23rd as an independent single. This version was recorded during the ''The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me'' sessions and features a bridge not found on the early version.
