Background
Scott attended the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, for fashion design. He started his career in Paris and has since shown collections in Paris, New York, Los Angeles, London, Moscow and Seoul.
Adidas Collection
In June 2008 Adidas launched a collaboration collection of footwear and apparel by Scott.
Controversy
In June of 2012 a pair of sneakers designed by Jeremy Scott for Adidas called the JS Roundhouse Mids were pulled after being criticised for for of their apparent resemblance to shackles and allusion to slavery. Scott denied that the shoes had anything to do with slavery stating it was a reference to the children's toy My Pet Monster.
In February of 2013 Jeremy Scott was accused of plagiarising designs from Santa Cruz Skateboards. Santa Cruz has not taken legal action.
