Copy edit feedback
Hi Matty.007. I found a few more things to do on each article. Battle of Lund:
- The article seems to be using US spelling and dates. In British usage, directions get dashes, but in US usage, they do not. So "south-east" becomes "southeast"
- Link only on first occurrence (once in the lead and once in the body)
- Directions such as north and south do not get capital letters
- I switched all times to military times, since the article is about a battle
- Six uses of the word "however" is too many in an article this size
- You can review this Diff of Battle of Lund for additional changes I made.
Battle of Tolbiac:
- Phrases such as "it is said" and "we are told" should be removed. Either we trust the sources, or we don't.
- More commas were added
- Link on first occurrence
- You can review this Diff of Battle of Tolbiac for additional changes I made.
Hopefully you find these comments useful to further your copy editing skills! Best, -- User:Diannaa (talk) 02:35, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
- But apart from that, were they good for first attempts?
- Thanks, Matty.007 16:03, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, I thought so. Keep up the good work! -- Diannaa (talk) 18:32, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
- OK, thanks. Matty.007 06:32, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for June 18
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Operation Livery, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Malaya (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi, why has Cluebot put a list of articles down the side? Thanks, Matty.007 16:09, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
- I've just fixed a small error in the archiving instructions at the top of the page. I've no idea if that was the cause, though. I'll leave the "help me" active in case anyone has any better ideas. -- John of Reading (talk) 17:07, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
