Template:Future election The Tennessee gubernatorial election of 2006 will be held on November 7, 2006. Whoever is elected will serve as Governor from 2007 to 2011. The incumbent , Democrat Phil Bredesen, is expected to run for re-election. As of May 18, Bredesen has an approval rating of 51%. The frontrunner to challenge him is Republican state senator Jim Bryson of Franklin.
