Hello! This page is meant to share with fellow editors a little about myself, my loyalties, and my biases.
A WP principle that is important to me is that competence is required to edit Misplaced Pages -- or more specifically, competence in the particular discipline whose articles one seeks to edit. As the essay states "Clearly, every editor is incompetent for some subjects, so it is important to know or discover your limitations." Admonitions by editors who are more educated in a subject than oneself should not be taken as insults, but rather as constructive suggestions to help one build competence in a particular subject. Of course, that shouldn't discourage users who lack background knowledge in a subject from being WP:Bold and editing!
