Hello!

I'm TheAustinMan, and I live in a nice suburban area of Austin, Texas. I have been interested in the field of skyscrapers, astronomy, geography, technology, and meteorology since a very early age. I first came across Misplaced Pages back in the day when I would spend days on Google just typing up random things, especially on Google Images. I began editing the site just recently, immediately becoming a user in 2009. My mission was to make Misplaced Pages better and spread information that has yet to be placed on the world's largest online encyclopedia. Ever since I have been working on the website frequently. I hope to attend Berkeley University and have a career at NASA (ask Congress to give a 'Penny4NASA'), and maybe a past-time of tornado chasing professionally with the National Weather Service or simply just having fun driving around chasing storms. Its a wonder knowing much about the interwebs - and Misplaced Pages. I am also a fan of the Texas Longhorns athletic programs and the university itself.

Austin (/ˈɒstn/ or /ˈɔːstn/) is the capital of the state of Texas and the seat of Travis County. Located in Central Texas on the eastern edge of the American Southwest, Austin is the thirteenth most populous city in the United States of America and the fourth most populous city in the state of Texas. It was the third-fastest-growing large city in the nation from 2000 to 2006. Austin has a population of 820,611 (2011 U.S. Census). The city is the cultural and economic center of the Austin–Round Rock–San Marcos metropolitan area, which had an estimated population 1,783,519 (2011 U.S. Census), making it the 34th-largest metropolitan statistical area in the United States and the fourth-largest in Texas.
