Kat Dennings (born June 13, 1986) is an American actress.
Dennings was born to a Jewish American family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was raised.
Dennings began her acting career in a 2000 episode of the HBO series Sex and the City, before being cast as a regular on the show, Raising Dad, which was short-lived.
Since then, she has appeared in a number of television shows and movies, including the 2005 film The 40-Year-Old Virgin and the 2004 Hilary Duff film Raise Your Voice. Even though Dennings is 20, most of the characters she plays tend to be "rebellious daughters" around 15 or 16.
Dennings also appeared as the character "Zoey" on several episodes of ER in 2005 and 2006.
She was also a guest star in CSI:NY as Sarah Endecott in episode: - Manhattan Manhunt (2005)
